About
Danielle Karlikoff (DK) is a jewellery artist based in Paris.
Since 2017, she has worked with over 500 clients worldwide, creating custom pieces and limited series that translate personal moments into lasting artefacts.
Her practice considers jewellery as technology - wearable objects designed to hold, transmit, and activate meaning through contact with the body and its environment. Each piece, known as a creature, is formed to accompany moments of transition rather than simply decorate or commemorate.
Behind the work is an ongoing study of human behaviour: how people express love, belief, and identity through the objects they choose to adopt. Each creature acts both as a trace of its wearer’s story and as a fragment within a wider body of research into human history and transformation.
In 2021, DK was awarded a major grant from the Australia Council for the Arts and participated in the Current Obsession Gem Z talent accelerator in the Netherlands, before relocating to Paris.
Her work unfolds through two strands: My-Mutation (existing artefacts) and Dream-Mutation (custom creatures).
DK works from her studio in Paris, which can be visited by appointment.
